Costume Hire
A full costume with accessories can cost anywhere from $45-$100 for a one week hire.
Simple costumes with a few accessories but without shoes or wigs typically cost $45-$55.
More elaborate period costumes or costumes including several garments as well as hats, wigs and shoes usually cost $65 -$85.
Our most elaborate and complicated costumes which include a full ensemble from head to toe cost $85-$100.
The vast majority of the Wardrobe’s costumes cost $55-$75 per week.
Individual items can be hired separately, we have a minimum $5 hire fee.
Children's Costume Hire
The Wardrobe has a range of historical children’s costumes suitable for school excursions, history presentations and eisteddfods.
We also have a small selection of animal costumes, and a few traditional children’s characters.
Children’s hire is typically between $25 - $45 per week.
Partial
Costume & Accessory Hire
The Wardrobe also hires individual accessories, or parts of costumes
such as coats, skirts, shoes and boots, hats, jewellery, sunglasses,
canes and other props. Hire prices for garments or accessories starts
as low as $5.
Wigs
The Wardrobe has an ever increasing range of wigs for sale and hire. We have all sorts of funky retro styles including beehives, afros, elvis, hippies, and mullets. We also have legal wigs, powder wigs and some wigs styled for specific period costumes. Our Hire wigs prices are between $15 - $25, with most wigs around $15-$20. Our range of wigs for sale cost between $10 and $25.
Payment
The Wardrobe accepts Visa, Bankcard, Mastercard and AMEX, and we also take EFTPOS, cheques or cash.
Security Deposit
The Wardrobe requires that an imprint of a valid credit card be left with The Wardrobe for the duration of the hire period as a security deposit. Although a cash or EFTPOS deposit can be arranged for some items, this is at the discretion of management. If you will have trouble supplying a credit card for security upon hire, you should contact the Wardrobe to discuss whether alternative arrangements can be made.
